Charming little piece of history, these are a great pair of Suffragette bee dangling pendant earrings dating from the Edwardian period, a time when women were fighting for the right to vote. To identify like minded ladies certain colours were worn in clothes or jewellery, green meaning 'give', white meaning 'women' & violet meaning 'vote'. These are made from 9ct yellow gold over sterling silver, the silver is marked to the posts, the gold is not marked. The stones have been tested as real, they are all in good order & of a good colour please see the pictures. The earrings are for pierced ears.
